While
Paul was in prison, he was aided by a runaway slave named Onesimus. The
slave’s master, Philemon, was a Christian friend of Paul. Paul told
Onesimus to return to his master and encouraged Philemon to receive
Onesimus back as a Christian brother.

Sunday School preparations underway!
We
are gearing up for the startup of this year's Sunday School, beginning
September 19th. Rotational Sunday School is
designed to teach major Bible stories and concepts through kid-friendly
stations like Art, Drama, Music, Games, Cooking, Science, Storytelling,
Movies, and many other educational medias. Rotational Sunday
School is a creative way to get children excited to learn about
Jesus. Our plan is to have parents guide children to our Sunday
school gathering time at 9:45 am on Sunday mornings. Here the
parents can sing, talk, play and mingle with their children until 10:00
am. Then parents will continue on to Worship. From 10:00 am
to 10:30 am children will
creatively experience and learn stories of the bible. At 10:30 am
children will join their parents in worship for communion. The
Rotational Sunday School program promises to be an amazing addition to
Ascension!
